HarperCollins Partners with JD.com to Sell eBooks in China
HarperCollins and JD.com partner to sell eBooks to a massive and ever-growing Chinese market. Over 800 backlist eBook titles will be available in English. Some of these titles available include Divergent and The Alchemist.
The Chinese publishing industry is expected to reach around $60 billion in 2015 so it is understandable that HarperCollins continues to make a push into the Chinese market.
Chantal Restivo-Alessi, Chief Digital Officer for HarperCollins Publishers said; ‘By expanding our international e-book distribution we’re opening up a new market for our authors’ works.’
