6 Tools Used for Creating eBooks
So you have successfully planned, written, edited and created an attention-grabbing eBook cover and are now ready to be published – congratulations! You are nearly there but first you need to create your eBook file before uploading it to the online eBook retailers.
To help you create your eBook file I have listed some resources below. By now you should be aware that many online retailers and eBook distribution services will convert your eBooks for you and produce the required eBook files so make sure you require these services before paying for them.
EPUB is the industry standard eBook format accepted most retailers. The majority of first-time writers find it difficult to convert their word doc to a EPUB format so these eBook creation services have developed tools to help you. Please read the fine print with all sites before committing.
I have listed six popular eBook creation tools. Each creation tool has similarities as well as some distinct difference so please read their terms carefully. Be aware of any exclusivity requirements that are being made if you do choose to use their product or service. These tools may help you in creating and producing your eBook if you are not comfortable enough to do it yourself.
Please note that the description for each site has been taken directly from their page to better provide information on what each service offers. I do not personally endorse one over the other as I have not used these services but know of positive feedback for the eBook creation tools listed.
Even if you don’t use Draft2Digital as your distributor you can still upload your Word doc for EPUB conversion.
